Broome:

  • November 29th - 30thHarvest for Hunger Phone-athon on WBNG to benefit Catholic Charities of Broome County's two food pantries.  Pledges will be taken during this televised event.

  • November 24th - December 23rd Wegmans in Johnson City will hold a Cash Register Drive to benefit Catholic Charities of Broome County

Chenango:

  • Christmas Food Baskets are available through our Roots & Wings program.  For information call 315-336-7897

  • Adopt-a-Family for 50 individuals for Christmas.  Call 315-334-8244 x 226 for more information.

  • All donations are made possible through the generosity of the community.

 

Cortland:

  • Applications for Holiday Food Baskets will be taken November 1st – 30th, Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm (closed 12-1pm) at 33-35 Central Ave. Cortland, NY  13045.

Proof of residency required examples; license, rent receipt, Landlord statement, utility bill will do.

  • Distribution will be December 20th, 1-6pm at St. Mary’s Church basement.

 Oneida/Madison:

  • The Catholic Charities Oneida/Madison Christmas program is a partnership with Operation Sunshine through the Observer Dispatch newspaper to provide families with food and toys for the holiday. 

  • Any family who would like to participate must call the Hotline 315-732-2379 beginning on November 9th.

Onondaga:

  • Emergency Services is putting out a call for winter coats and gear for men, women and children. They can be brought to our Emergency Services building at 264 East Onondaga Street during week days.

  • Accepting donations of cash, gift cards and gifts for our Christmas Program for distribution to our clients. Call 315-424-1800 for more information.

  • Hunger and Homeless Awareness week is in Mid-November.

  • People in need of gifts for the holidays are encouraged to sign up for the Salvation Army Christmas Bureau.

Oswego: 

  • Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets Distribution at their Emergency Services/Pantry located at 808 Broadway, Fulton.  They will be accepting applications daily from 10am-3pm beginning October 23rd.  Note: A piece of First Class mail dated within 30 days for each adult in the household is required.

  • Thanksgiving Baskets will be distributed on November 15th, 16th & 17th, 10am-3pm;

  • Christmas Baskets on December 13th &14th, 10am-3pm

  • They will assist clients to connect with the Oswego County Children’s Fund for gifts for children between the ages of 0 -16.
