Social Justice Ministries of the Diocese of Syracuse promote Catholic social teachings as a model designed for people to use as a blueprint to live the gospel of life. 

Public Policy Office

The Public Policy Office of the Diocese of Syracuse supports and facilitates the participation of the people of the diocese in the public policy formulation of both the state and the nation according to Catholic principles.

Office of Disabilities

The Office of Disabilities of the Diocese of Syracuse provides services and when possible resources to persons with disabilities, their families, friends, and advocates to enhance their lives and the life of the entire community. 

Asian Apostolate

The Asian Apostolate is an effective voice and representative of the Asian-American Catholic Community through collaboration and cooperation with other diocesan offices and parish communities.

Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA)

Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) is the national office for Catholic Charities agencies nationwide. Catholic Charities USA’s members provide help and create hope for millions of people a year, regardless of their religious, social, or economic background. CCUSA provides leadership and support for the work of local agencies in their efforts to reduce poverty, support families, and empower communities. 

The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide service to people in need, to advocate for justice in social structures, and to call the entire church and other people of good will to do the same.

Catholic Campaign for Human Services (CCHD)

Catholic Campaign for Human Services (CCHD) is a department of the United State Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). It is the Church's domestic response to address the root causes of poverty in the USA. For more information visit USCCB's CCHD Office.

Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States.

 

State Offices:

New York State Catholic Conference

The New York State Catholic Conference is the "Official Voice of the Catholic Church in the Empire State." Located in Albany, New York, this office represents the Bishops of the State in working with government to shape laws and policies that pursue social justice, respect for life, and the common good. They provide a unified voice for the eight dioceses of the State to speak on social issues such as education, marriage, health care, poverty, abortion, euthanasia, social service, criminal justice and the environment.
